How to get traffic and links from popular blogs: Networking and Email Pitching
When you're growing your business or a blog, a link from a popular blog can help a lot. It will take you interested visitors and perhaps some secondary links or traffic from other bloggers who follow the popular blog.
The question needs to be asked: Just how do you get a mention and link from these influential bloggers?
It is really not difficult. You'll only have to match your business or website by sending an e-mail. After all, bloggers can write about something when they are aware it exists, would not you agree?
The sad truth is that e-mail promotions are often not sufficient to guarantee a link or a mention, especially when the blogger in question is busy or receives many emails every day. To increase the chances of a successful field-mail, you will need to build a tactical relationship with the blogger specific.
Network online is to build the right connections
The most important to remember is this: online networking should not be different from the way you socialize offline. You do not just go to someone and ask them to promote your product in their store. At very least, you must introduce yourself and establish a relationship of trust before the other person will bite.
Grow your site to another blogger is no different. I used to work in an office public relations and was in charge of cold calling and cold emailing publications and journalists to field a separate press release or story for my clients.
I can honestly say that I had much more likely to get publicity for a client when I was on familiar topics and good conditions with the journalist or editor.
If you're just a new name or address them, they will probably not give you the time of day unless your story is absolutely revolutionary. Do not just send us an email and hope for the best. Do nothing to chance. Building a working relationship with the right people for the best effect.
How to get traffic and efficient links popular blogs
The following tips are from my personal experience as a blogger who planted articles and sites received in return. They reflect what I feel is the best way to get some attention or links to popular blogs. Because of their time intensive nature, they may not be necessary for blogs with a small audience.
Basically, you use these tactics to target great blog with a large audience, to get the maximum traffic and visibility for your website or business. These methods are largely free and does not require any or much money at all.
- Find your angle. Each location needs a success angle. If you are really interested in targeting a popular blog, take a look at what they publish regularly to get an idea of what they content type to be executed.
content creation for niche blogs "> Create your content with this viewpoint and not act accordingly. Creating a content specific inclination is fairly easy to do and the rewards are high if you manage to get a mention. You can always return to your content type or the usual format after this happens.
- Creating the Perfect Pitch. There are some general rules to follow. Make your concise and convincing email. Check your copy and punctuation. Introduce yourself briefly. Use the name of the blogger. Do not flatter. Refer to specific positions in comments. Be polite. Focus on their interests and benefits. Offer other means of communication (eg phone, IM).
- Establish a contact by email before. Ask someone to discover your site or link in your first e-mail is very bad strategy. Build a steady stream of mail by sending an email to the blogger, not selling or promoting your website.
One of the best ways to do is to ask a question or simply thank them for their wonderful site and the content that you have found useful. You can also give useful information on the site in general. This instantly raises about the rest of the crowd when you eventually decide to pitch an article.
- Use feedback network. Many people have written about how the comments do you get traffic blogs, but their real value lies in potential of networking. Comments are one of the easiest ways to attract the attention of any blogger. Be sure to regularly comment and participate in the discussion.
Refrain from pitching your own website or an article in the comment section. Try to get at least 10 separate comments blog before even consider pitching your article.
- to promote social media. Bloggers check regular sources of traffic and the presentation of their website for social media sites like Digg and StumbleUpon is a great way to get on radar. StumbleUpon in particular, can send hundreds of visitors to any site and its a really easy way to get noticed.
Remember to attach social media account that you use with your own website by inserting the URL of your site or name in the profile. Moreover, Forums are also a great way to share content from blogger.
- Configuring an internal connection. Very large blogs companies. It is sometimes difficult to break the barrier of attention and getting noticed, because these sites are great places all e-mail days. The best way to anticipate the other is to establish personal contact with an inside source.
For example, some writers and editors Staff have their own blogs. Go visit and comment on these blogs and make friends with anyone in particular. Another solution is to find a friend who is in contact Live with internal staff and ask your friend to introduce you to the specific person.
- for them and send them traffic link. This works especially well if you have a website or blog of your choice. Link to Blogger, you are targeting a couple of times and reference articles. Put them on your blogroll, if you have one. Remember, a link will not cost you anything but you can get traffic and exposure in return.
This is a great way to let the blogger know that you support their site. Even if the blog is getting many links everyday, you will eventually be noticed somehow, especially if you can send them some traffic.
- Get Email Friends Pitch your article. Ask a friend or a Another blogger to promote your site by sending an e-mail tip. Some bloggers are not in favor of excessive self-promotion if you can advertise your site or article some additional validity. If you wish, make some friends from other e-mail not the same article. Remember that you should not use this technique because it is often easy to tell if you are artificially promote your website by e-mail.
- Other channels of contact use. Another way to attract immediate attention is to communicate with bloggers on alternative communication channels. These are platforms microblogging, social networks and instant messaging. Not all bloggers have their information listed in public but for those who do, consider using the channels alternative. Few people will use these methods of communication and you tend to stand out immediately.
- Donations and advice. Blogger Tips and donations offer is a great way to show your appreciation for their work. This can be done easily if they have a donation button Pal somewhere, but even if they are not, you can also email them to request a paypal address. It is inexpensive and simple, but can certainly increase your potential to get a mention in the future.
Other methods as directed blog guest blogging you will get traffic and links as well but I have not included in this article is not just for bloggers, but online business owners and perhaps even public relations executives and marketers.
Your goal here is to build a mutually beneficial relationship by interacting with the blogger and attractive for their own interest. How long do you need really depends on how you're good at networking.
I suggest strong networking for a minimum period of two weeks before starting to build your own equipment. And a word of advice: make sure no article product or your site is excellent, the quality of material.
What works on you will work on others too
Just for prove my point even further, do a little test right now. Would you like a link to someone you do not quite know who contacted you the first time with an email field for an article that is not relevant to your site?
Or would you prefer a link to someone who you know, who has linked to you several times, comments regularly on your site, you e-mails with information and requests actual and finally features an article that is perfect for your site audience?
I'm sure you all know the answer to this question.
